This game from British studio Rebellion will immediately draw comparisons to Fallout, but there’s one important difference: it trades those games post-apocalyptic American setting for the British countryside and other locations, in the aftermath of a nuclear disaster in Northern England. Other locations include underground bunkers and caves, so obviously exploration plays a big part in this game as it does in the Fallout games, plus crafting your own items and weapons is a thing too, and you’ll definitely need those weapons as it looks like there’ll be plenty of combat here as seen in the trailer below.
Atomfall also features light RPG elements (there’s a skill tree to customize your character throughout your journey), while this also draws inspiration from the Cold War and sci-fi (which makes for a good mix). All in all, this is definitely one of the top games launching in 2025, and seems like the kind of game to tide people over until the next instalment of Fallout hits the shelves.
