9. Silent Hill f

The Silent Hill franchise made a return last year after a long absence, and we’re getting a new entry in the survival horror series in 2025. But the upcoming Silent Hill f will be different to last year’s Silent Hill 2 remake in the sense that it will be the first Silent Hill to feature a Japanese setting, amongst other things. Playing as Hinako, you will have to unveil the mysteries of Ebisugaoka, a Japanese town in the 1960s.

As was the case with the town of Silent Hill in last year’s entry, Ebisugaoka is engulfed in fog, and is home to grotesque creatures which will haunt Hinako, who will have to fight for her life while also solving puzzles to progress in the story as is typical in Konami’s games. With a script by Japanese author Ryukishi07 (his pen name), haunting music by series veteran Akira Yamaoka and atmosphere you can cut with a knife, fans of the series and newcomers might be having a blast with this horror adventure game set in rural Japan this year.

Release date: September 25, 2025. Available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
