5 things to know about Pokémon Go
3. It has microtransactions
While Pokémon Go is not exactly the kind of smartphone game in which you can pay to win, those willing to spend real money in the game will be able to enjoy all sorts of advantages. And since the strength of the Pokémon you get depends on the player’s (who is the trainer in Pokémon Go) level, and players level up in the game by gaining experience points from activities like evolving Pokémon into more powerful variants, it is clear that the “Lucky Egg” is one of the most powerful items you can buy in the game as it doubles the number of experience points you get from all activities for a limited amount of time.
Another item that must not be overlooked is the “Egg Incubator”, which allows you to hatch multiple eggs at a time, reducing the number of kilometres you have to walk before getting new Pokémon from egg-hatching.
