Far Cry 5 is amongst this year’s most eagerly anticipated games, no doubt. After all, the Far Cry series has garnered quite a following over the years due to its superb first-person action, great characters and exotic locales, even if this latest instalment in the series is not exactly set in some faraway paradise.
Actually, Far Cry 5 takes place in sunny Montana, the first western setting for a series that has previously been to war-torn Himalayan countries and sub-Saharan Africa. But Far Cry 5’s fictional Hope County won’t exactly be a peaceful and quiet location to while away your time though, because this small town in Montana has been overrun by a sinister cult led by a madman known as “The Father” and his lieutenants.
And hopefully Far Cry 5 will be an action-packed experience and feature the same great gameplay, characters and story as earlier entries did, and for those eager to jump in on the action as soon as the game is released on March 27, game publisher Ubisoft has revealed the dates and times at which you can begin preloading Far Cry 5 on its website.

Those playing on PS4 and Xbox One will be able to start their preload on the 25th of March at midnight (at your local time). Meanwhile, PC players who’ve already bought the game on Steam or Ubisoft’s Uplay service have been able to preload the game since March 23 at 18:00 UTC.
And while it’s great Far Cry fans will be able to start playing the game immediately once it’s released on March 27 worldwide, it remains to be seen whether this will live up to earlier entries in the series or not. Here’s hoping it will though, and that Far Cry 5 ends up being one of this year’s top gaming experiences too, something we’ll find out when the game hits shelves next Tuesday.
Note: Far Cry 5 will be released on March 27, 2018. Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
