Gamers worldwide have no doubt turned to Blizzard’s Overwatch, an online multiplayer game that could very well end up being one of this year’s top video game hits. As a matter of fact the game’s open beta was played by almost 10 million earlier this month, so it looks like Overwatch, which is Blizzard’s first major game in almost two decades, could become another blockbuster game for the American company.
And the game has now been featured in Conan O’Brien’s ‘Clueless Gamer’, in which none other than Peter Dinklage and Lena Heady of Game of Thrones sat to play Blizzard’s video game in front of host Conan O’Brien. And while the likes of Henry Cavill have admitted to playing World of Warcraft (which is a popular one with celebrities no doubt), here we get to watch two of the world’s best-known TV personalities playing Blizzard’s latest game.
Of course, the show itself had plenty of comedy value and Game of Thrones references. Funnily, we got to see that O’Briens iron throne also doubled as a toilet (before he begins tearing it apart), and at some point a George R. R. Martin look-alike appears on stage with a head on a spike (which O’Brien proceeds to kiss).
Later, the moment of truth arrives and the trio finally get to play a game of Overwatch… And it turns out that Tyrion Lannister is quite good at Blizzard’s game, doing better than Heady and even scoring a kill against O’Brien in one of the matches.
But now that Overwatch has finally hit the shelves, millions of people worldwide will also get a chance to play online, perhaps unknowingly playing against celebrities like Dinklage and Heady in Blizzard’s game…
