1. Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015)
With Rise of the Tomb Raider, game creators Crystal Dynamics came up with a sequel that managed to top their great 2013 reboot, presenting Lara not like a sexual icon but as a resourceful and tough woman with a bag of tricks up her sleeve… Because Miss Croft not only had to handle the evil mercenaries of the sinister paramilitary group Trinity while on the hunt for the secret of immortality, but also deal with wild bears and wolves in the desolate landscapes of Siberia.
Rise of the Tomb Raider also was the first game in the series to debut on new-gen consoles, and aside from being the best-looking Tomb Raider game to date also featured open-world gameplay and some of the biggest tombs yet seen in the series, rounding out what undoubtedly is the best Tomb Raider game yet.
