Many Star Wars fans were pleased when Electronic Arts announced that Star Wars Battlefront 2 would be featuring a single player campaign. And the game’s story mode no doubt is interesting, as it features a female protagonist fighting for the Empire and an original story set between the events of Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.

It’s clear, though, that for most players the meat and potatoes of the game will be the multiplayer, and in this regard Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a step ahead of its 2015 predecessor. This is because this upcoming sequel will be offering more game modes and heroes to play as, amongst other things. Actually, Battlefront 2 spans all Star Wars eras, meaning you will not only be able to play as iconic Star Wars characters such as Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, but also as Darth Maul and Rey from the Force Awakens.

And the game’s launch trailer below gives you a taster of what to expect from the multiplayer side of the game, showcasing the big battles you will be able to take part in with other players online when the game ships later this month. These are set in familiar Star Wars locations like the Death Star and Endor, with the game featuring both outer space combat and ground missions too.

It’s clear then, that Star Wars Battlefront 2 could be one of the biggest games of the year, especially taking into account that Star Wars fever will be at an all time high this holiday season due to the release of Disney’s The Last Jedi movie. And if this game delivers an experience as good as that of the earlier Battlefront games, Star Wars fans who get hold of this will surely be in for a treat this fall.

Note: Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be released on November 17, 2017. Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
