2. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (2014)
This Call of Duty game sure took advantage of its near future setting, delivering plenty of punchy combat and futuristic technologies back in 2014. The cool Exo Suits were the highlights here, letting you perform acrobatic leaps and providing special abilities like cloaking, both in the game’s multiplayer and single player campaign.
And like earlier Call of Duty games, this also featured a slew of A-list actors like Troy Baker, who voiced the game’s protagonist Mitchell. There’s also villain Jonathan Irons (played by Kevin Spacey), who’s the leader of the overambitious military corporation Atlas, and surely one of the top Call of Duty villains seen to date. All in all, this is a solid Call of Duty game with a spectacular campaign and serviceable multiplayer, and some of the best visuals yet seen in a PS4 game to boot.
