4. Old Skies

US studio Wadjet Eye Games have been making “point and click” adventures for a while now, and Old Skies is the most recent one to date. It plays like the graphic adventures of old made by the likes of LucasArts and Revolution, this one involving time travel. Protagonist Fia Quinn is an agent from the future whose clients wish to travel to the past for one reason or another. And things turn dramatic early on, as the game surely plays with the concept of time travel and the consequences of it.

Old Skies also packs an emotional punch, and boasts some interesting and witty dialogue to boot. Other locations featured in the game include 19th century and Prohibition-era New York, which are suitably atmospheric (in no small spart due to the game’s music) while the retro graphics certainly look the part too… Some scenes, though, involve repetition as you try to figure out how to get protagonist Fia Quinn out of a sticky situation, but are still fun to play through. All in all, this is a time travel adventure fans of the genre won’t want to miss, and one of 2025’s best games so far too.
