These are the free PS Plus games for May 2018

As is the case every month, Sony has revealed the games that PS Plus subscribers will be able to get for free this May.

The highlight of these is undoubtedly Beyond: Two Souls, an adventure game made by Quantic Dream. This is the development team that’s now putting the finishing touches on Detroit: Become Human, without question one of the most eagerly awaited games of the year.

And as is the case with other games by the French studio, there’s plenty of emotionally-involved decision making here. Plus, Beyond: Two Souls also boasts one of the most original stories told in a video game in the last couple of years, while actors Willem Dafoe and Ellen Page also do a fine job of playing the game’s protagonists, Nathan Dawkins and Jodie Holmes.

Aside from Beyond: Two Souls, PS4 owners will also be able to enjoy Rayman Legends. This is a fun, addictive and colourful platform game which French powerhouse Ubisoft put out back in 2013. This game features Rayman, who’s the most popular platform game character this side of Mario and Sonic, and offers plenty of colourful levels to navigate through as well.

Aside from these two games, if you’re a PS Plus subscriber you’ll also get a chance to play King Oddball, a PS Vita game which is available via Cross Buy for the PS4 too.

King Oddball is also available for the PS3, while those still gaming on Sony’s earlier console will also be getting Eat Them! and Risen 3: Titan Lords this month (as Sony announced earlier this year, PS Plus will stop offering free PS3 games starting in March 2019). The final game which is free to download for those on PS Plus this May is Furmins, a PS Vita game.

This month’s games are available now for those who subscribe to Sony’s online game service, and especially Beyond: Two Souls and Rayman Legends are two high-profile games you might want to take a look if you haven’t played them before. And here’s hoping Sony keeps putting out great PS4 games for PS Plus subscribers to enjoy in what remains of the year too.
