8. God of War: Chains of Olympus (6 hours)

Kratos story continued in this great God of War entry, but sadly it wasn’t a long one…

God of War: Chains of Olympus was one of the top titles released for the PlayStation Portable console (which also later made it to the PlayStation 3). The game’s story was set before that of 2007’s God of War II, and had protagonist Kratos slaying all sorts of mythological beasts in order to complete his quest for the gods of Olympus.

And this God of War game certainly did not disappoint, with its great visuals, superb action, engaging story and one or two enormous bosses to vanquish (plus a silly sex mini-game thrown in for good measure). Although perhaps the game’s short length was a bit of let-down, as you could be done with it in less than half a dozen hours, but was otherwise a great package overall.
