10. The Legend of Zelda
This upcoming Zelda game will feature open-world gameplay, and its world will be much larger than that of its predecessor Twilight Princess (of which a remastered edition will be released in March), with one area of this new Zelda game being as big as the entire map of the Twilight Princess game. And like other open-world games, the map will be teeming with side-quests, plus other “diversions” according to game creator Shigeru Miyamoto.
So it is clear that this game will be more in the vein of The Elder Scrolls series than previous Zelda games, and hopefully there won’t be any more delays, and Zelda fans looking to see iconic hero Link do battle with the evil Ganon in the fantasy world of Hyrule will finally get to play the game this year.
Release date: 2016. Available on Wii U.
