In a recent gameplay video, Ubisoft showcased Far Cry Primal’s gameplay, and it seems that the game will mostly focus on dealing with the prehistoric wildlife and other human tribes (speaking of which, an early cutscene shows protagonist Takkar’s human enemies communicating with each other in some form of ancient language, which while realistic, might not be to everyone’s liking).

But going back to the animals, Takkar (also known as the Beast Master) is seen taming a dire wolf and using his new pet to hunt and then skin other animals. He also takes over a nearby encampment with assistance from a jaguar and claims the area by lighting a bonfire, which serves the same purpose as the radio towers in earlier Far Cry games.
