God of War is one of the biggest, best-reviewed, and best-selling video games of the year so far, a game which has likely pleased even the most demanding fan of the long-running PlayStation series.
It was inevitable then, that this high-profile PS4 exclusive would end up being the subject of a “Clueless Gamer” episode, the popular Conan O’Brien hosted show which has delighted audiences to date by making fun of some of the biggest video games out there.
And games like Battlefield 1, The Witcher 3 and Final Fantasy XV (which Conan derisively called a “waste of time” back in 2016) have already been put through their paces on Clueless Gamer, while today was the turn of Sony’s latest blockbuster game God of War.
For this, Conan was joined by none other than Bill Harder, the popular Saturday Night Live star who together with Conan played through several bits of this latest God of War game. Of course, like is usual, both Conan and Harder listened in amused disbelief while Conan’s assistant explained the game’s plot to them.
And once in the game proper both men couldn’t help but crack jokes, making fun of what is already a contender for Game of the Year… But still, games like God of War get a lot of serious coverage in the game press already so it might be a breath of fresh air for some to see a game like this being treated in a funny way by a pair of non-gamers.
Either way, this is clearly another funny Clueless Gamer episode for both video game fans and those who don’t play games to enjoy, and here’s hoping we keep seeing more of Conan’s show in the months to come too.
