Those gamers fond of role-playing games have likely played Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls games before, as these are some of the most atmospheric and engaging RPGs of all time. Actually, games like The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind have an enviable reputation in the video game world, and it’s likely that Bethesda’s decision not to remaster the old classic did not go down well with some of its fans.

But at least the Maryland-based company will be releasing an expansion for their critically-acclaimed The Elder Scrolls Online game this summer as they announced last month. And now Bethesda has released the first gameplay video for The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind, showing familiar locations from their earlier Morrowind game, plus also new player armour, weapons and monsters that will feature in the upcoming expansion.

Of course, some RPG fans might not be satisfied by this expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online, especially those who prefer the single player experience and don’t want a bunch of strangers running around their game… But at least this Morrowind expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online will likely look fantastic judging by this first trailer, and should certainly tide Elder Scrolls fans over until Bethesda releases the eagerly awaited Elder Scrolls VI sometime in the future.

Note: The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will be released on June 6, 2017. Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
