The Hitman games have garnered a loyal following over the years thanks to their unique gameplay and atmosphere, selling millions of copies and even hitting the silver screen twice, even if the movies were admittedly not so great.
But it’s the open-ended levels and varied gameplay of the Hitman games which has kept fans coming back for more, something which 2016’s Hitman game had in spades, even if not everyone was fond of the episodic model Danish game makers IO Interactive chose for the game.
Thankfully, though, its sequel Hitman 2 will be released in one chunk this fall, and like its predecessor will feature large, open-ended levels and many different ways with which to carry out the game’s various assassination missions.
Actually, Hitman 2 is one of the few games which requires you to think like an assassin, and the game’s latest trailer shows players how to do this in its Miami stage, one of several locations featured in the game.
Of course, avoiding detection is key when tracking targets in the game, otherwise protagonist Agent 47 could be apprehended by security as seen in the video above.
For this purpose, disguises come in handy and dressing up as an entertainer or a bodyguard will let you cover ground and bypass security in order to carry out the hit…
Judging by this trailer, it looks like Hitman 2 could be as feature packed and deep as 2016’s game was, arguably the best video game to be released that year. Here’s hoping then, that this sequel lives up to expectations and that IO Interactive’s upcoming game does the series proud when it hits shelves this fall.
Note: Hitman 2 will be released on November 13, 2018. Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
