Ranking the Resident Evil movies from worst to best

The Resident Evil movies are some of the most popular zombie blockbusters in Hollywood history, and have millions of fans worldwide. And considering that the franchise will continue as more movies are in the works, it’s certainly time to look back at the entire movie series.

So which of these movies is the best, and which the worst? Given that millions of viewers worldwide have enjoyed the Resident Evil movies, this will be a matter of passionate debate for sure, and while each film certainly has its merits, only one can be the best in the end. So here follows a list of the Resident Evil movies, ranked from worst to best.

7. Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021)

This latest Resident Evil movie, is sadly, also one of the worst. An attempt to reboot the franchise after the previous six movies starring Milla Jovovich, this features an entirely new cast and is loosely based on the plot of the first two Resident Evil video games. But this results in a poorly-paced plot, and bad acting and casting don’t help either, although Kaya Scodelario (who plays Claire Redfield) is great as always.

Some may like the fact that this does not go for all-out action like the earlier Resident Evil: Retribution did, though, and attempts to build some suspense at times. Plus, this did well enough at the box office that a sequel is rumored to be in the works, one which fans may yet be truly happy with…
