It’s been a long time coming, but Bandai Namco will finally release a new Tekken game this June. This will be the seventh instalment in the series, and comes after the well-reviewed Tekken 6, a good entry in the long-running fighting series which debuted in 1994.
And given the game’s release date is less than two weeks away, Bandai Namco has released a spectacular trailer which shows scenes from the game’s story, as well as some of the characters you can expect to find in this new instalment of the Tekken series.
Series regular Heihachi Mishima features prominently in the trailer, and will likely play a pivotal role in the game’s story as has been the case in the past, while sexy video game character Nina Williams makes a welcome return. So will she finally settle that long-running dispute with her sister, Anna Williams?
Also interesting is the fact that crossover character Akuma will be playable in Tekken 7, although what role the iconic Street Fighter character will play in the game’s story is a mystery as of yet. Also expect to be able to play as Alisa Bosconovitch, one of the most original characters in a fighting game to date, who made her first appearance in 2008’s Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion game. And it sure will be fun to find out what the pink-haired android has been up to in this upcoming Tekken’s game story, that’s for sure…
Additionally, regulars like Eddy Gordo and Steve Fox will also feature in Tekken 7. And hopefully Bandai Namco’s latest game will offer an interesting story to follow aside from the great fighting action that the Tekken series is renowned for, when the game hits shelves this summer.
