2. Uncharted 4

If one thing is clear, is that Nathan Drake, protagonist of the Uncharted video games, is one of the most iconic characters in gaming. So it is logical that fans of the series were disappointed to hear that Uncharted 4 would be Nathan Drake’s last adventure according to game creators Naughty Dog.

But thankfully Naughty Dog delivered a superb video game with Uncharted 4, which is one of the best-looking PS4 exclusives released to date. The game also boasts superb third-person action gameplay, with great shooting and driving sequences that are more open-ended and less linear than in previous Uncharted games, as well as a great story about a lost pirate treasure and great returning characters like Drake’s love interest Elena and his old pal Sully. All in all, it is clear that Uncharted 4 is not only one of 2016’s best games to date, but also a solid candidate for game of the year.
