Even though some superb exclusive games like Uncharted 4 and The Last Guardian hit the PS4 last year, it is clear that 2017 could also be a year to remember for owners of Sony’s console. This is because several exciting exclusives are scheduled for release in 2017, including the likes of Persona 5 and also post-apocalyptic action game NieR: Automata.

5. Persona 5
Persona 5 is definitely one of the most original PS4 exclusives headed our way in 2017.
Persona 5 is one of those games to feature a silent protagonist, but that doesn’t mean that this game by developer Atlus is devoid of personality, as it features a colourful world, while its gameplay is also likely to be as exciting as in earlier games in the series and has been inspired by a variety of genres, including role-playing, action, stealth and even social simulators like The Sims.
This is because there are two halves to Persona 5, as the protagonist lives a double life as a school student and masked vigilante belonging to a group who infiltrate palaces (Persona’s version of the typical RPG dungeon) as seen in the trailer below. And given the game’s multifaceted gameplay, colourful art style and original story, this might yet turn out to be one of the year’s top video game surprises…
