Top 5 video game classics which are getting official remakes

3. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Back in 2003, Canadian video game company BioWare answered Star Wars’ fans prayers when they released Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR for short), arguably the best game set in a galaxy far, far away. Featuring an original story set thousands of years before the first Star Wars movie, this game featured a loveable cast of characters which include Bastilla, the first female jedi in a Star Wars video game. The turn-based combat was spectacular at the time, and had characters going at each other with laser weapons and lightsabers, while there were also some cool locations to visit in the game such as the Wookie homeworld of Kashyyyk and a water world named Manaan.

And it’s rumored that the 2003 classic is going to get a remake, which will not only be based on the original game but also on its 2005 sequel, which was made by Obsidian and not BioWare, and wasn’t quite at the same level (but still a worthy Star Wars game though). This should be good news for Star Wars and KOTOR fans who’ve been hoping for another entry in the sci-fi RPG series for a long while now, so hopefully Electronic Arts will deliver another worthy KOTOR game in the not-so-distant future.
