You can still earn Double XP in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, event lasts until February 21

Although some Call of Duty fans were riled when Activision announced that the game’s first DLC pack would be a timed exclusive on PS4 and only come later to the Xbox One and PC, at least all Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare players have been able to take part in the Double XP event which lasts until February 21, 10:00 AM PT.

Those familiar with Call of Duty multiplayer know that XP (Experience Points) are necessary in order to level up, becoming a more powerful force on the battlefield and helping your side win in modes such as team deathmatch. So those eager to level up their character can take advantage of this Double XP event in order to earn twice the experience points in those heated Infinite Warfare multiplayer matches.

And it’s surely a good thing that Activision is treating Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare players to bonuses like these, as it helps keep interest alive in the game, which although it was one of the best-selling games worldwide in 2016 (and the top-seller in the US too), was something of a disappointment.

This is because most players did not take to Infinite Warfare’s sci-fi setting, as Activision itself has admitted. But still, this year’s Call of Duty could truly be something special as the publisher said the franchise will be returning to its roots, and if this means we’ll be seeing another World War II Call of Duty game, then this could be the most exciting year for Call of Duty in a very long time.

For the time being, though, those who are still playing Infinite Warfare can take advantage of the Double XP event to make their characters even more powerful and gain an edge in the game’s multiplayer modes, as the currently running Double XP event lasts until February 21.
