3. Assassin’s Creed Origins

The Assassin’s Creed video games are well-known for their exciting third-person action and parkour in richly-detailed historical settings, even if the series took a tumble with 2014’s not so great Assassin’s Creed Unity game. Also, no major game in the series was released in 2016, meaning fans will be eager to see what Ubisoft has in store for them in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins.

This is set in ancient Egypt, and amongst other things will let you climb the Pyramids, sail the Nile river and explore the tombs of the Pharaohs… And judging by the gameplay video below this could certainly be the best Assassin’s Creed game to date, as Ubisoft has clearly pulled all the stops to bring ancient Egypt to life with superbly detailed graphics. These will also look quite a bit prettier running on the Xbox One X, as the game will be taking advantage of Microsoft’s upcoming console to deliver more detailed visuals in 4K and better in-game performance in what could be the ultimate version of this Assassin’s Creed game.
