4. Faster-paced and better gameplay

While Dark Souls 2 was a solid game all-round, the absence of Japanese designer Miyazaki was noted, as that game lacked Miyazaki’s magic touch who was busy working on Bloodborne instead. And it is likely that Dark Souls 3’s gameplay will be faster-paced like Bloodborne’s rather than the more cautious approach to combat of earlier Dark Souls games (as seen in the gameplay video below, which shows the game’s Thief class in action).

Also, players will be able to use the new “Battle Arts”, which are basically special attacks for the game’s weapons and should add variety and depth to Dark Souls 3’s gameplay. And while the Dark Souls games are known for their punishing difficulty, bosses in this new Dark Souls entry will be even harder to take down as they will be able to change their attack patterns and behaviour in the middle of a fight, keeping players on their toes.
