2. Until Dawn

Until Dawn is the classic PS4 horror game from 2015, so it’s likely fans were ecstatic earlier this year when it was announced that a movie based on the game was in the works. And now Sony has revealed that a new version of Until Dawn is being made. This new, enhanced edition of Until Dawn was shown off during this year’s State of Play (see trailer below), and has been rebuilt from the ground up using Unreal Engine, while it also features an entirely new musical score too…

More remake than remaster then, this new Until Dawn game for PS5 and PC will also boast a new third-person camera, letting players explore the game’s Blackwood Mountain setting in more detail. Animations are also being improved and reworked according to developer Ballistic Moon (yes, original developer Supermassive is not behind this remake). It remains to be seen, though, whether this will improve on the original game or not – enhancing a classic horror game like Until Dawn is a tricky task, so here’s hoping that Ballistic Moon can deliver a superior version of the 2015 original featuring Hayden Panettiere and Rami Malek.
