4. Okami 2 (Okami sequel project)

Many gamers likely remember Okami, a PS2 game from 2006 which many considered Game of the Year. It ended up being a notorious flop, but its original art style, gameplay and originality turned it into a cult classic. So it makes sense that many Okami fans were on their heels when it was revealed at this year’s Game Awards that a sequel to the 2006 game is in the works at Capcom.

Several studios will be pouring their efforts into Okami 2 (which Capcom is currently calling “Okami sequel project”), including Clovers Inc., lead by Hideki Kamiya, the man who directed the original Okami game. And looking at the teaser trailer below, this sequel could offer a colorful Japanese setting to enjoy while playing as protagonist Amaterasu, who returns in this sequel.
