Uncharted 4 Story Trailer Showcases Spectacular Graphics, Hints at Great Adventure

Uncharted 4 is one of the most eagerly awaited games of the year, and no doubt one of the top upcoming PS4 exclusives. And while earlier trailers for the game have showcased Uncharted 4’s gameplay, such as the one seen at the E3 show last year, the latest trailer focuses on the game’s story. Writing on the PlayStation blog, Neil Druckmann of developer Naughty Dog, who were also behind the great zombie game The Last of Us, claimed that this is “the best trailer in Naughty Dog’s history”.

And this is no doubt an action-packed trailer, which shows that intrepid hero Nathan Drake will embark on another great Indiana Jones-style adventure, which according to Naughty Dog will be Nathan Drake’s last.

The trailer also sees the return of familiar characters like Drake’s brother Sam (the two are seen together in a flashback early in the trailer) and a female villain who was last seen kicking Drake’s butt in another trailer shown during the 2015 Game Awards. And regarding the game’s story, it will likely involve a search for a valuable crucifix of some sort which is seen at some point in the trailer, and will take Drake and his pals to exotic and beautiful locations throughout the world.

Also, it is clear that this upcoming Uncharted game will feature some of the best graphics seen to date in a new-gen game, as the character models and facial animations seen in the trailer certainly look superb, and some of the game’s locations, from lush jungles to decrepit interiors, are both haunting and beautiful.

Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dog also stated on his post that “the team is working extremely hard to deliver our most ambitious game to date. We can’t tell you how excited we all are for you to play the final game”.

This will certainly be music for Uncharted fans’ ears, as many were disappointed last year when the game’s release date was postponed to 2016, and would feel let down if this Uncharted game was nothing less than superb. But given Naughty Dog’s history of making great games, it is very likely that Nathan Drake’s final adventure will also turn out to be his best yet.
