In Life is Strange players control teenage photography student Max Claufield, who discovers in a dramatic scene early on that she has the power to rewind time. She later reunites with her childhood friend Chloe, and they both embark on a quest to find Chloe’s missing friend Rachel Amber, who mysteriously disappeared in the town of Arcadia Bay.

Life is Strange’s choice and consequence gameplay is not unlike that of Telltale’s The Walking Dead series, plus Dontnod Entertainment’s game also makes great use of the time-rewinding mechanic in its puzzles, by letting players go back in time and pick a different course of action, trying different approaches each time. Life is Strange was one of 2015’s best games due to its great characters, visuals and phenomenal music, making it a must for those who enjoy adventure video games.
