2. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

This new game in the A Plague Tale series is headed to consoles and PC this summer. Unlike the previous two entries, which featured protagonists Hugo and Amicia, this has a new main character named Sophia. She’s a treasure seeker who’s really skilled with a sword, as can be seen in the trailer below. This comes handy as she’ll be headed to Minotaur’s Island on the hunt for riches and information about her past. There she’ll engage in spectacular, gladiator-style battles against her adversaries and also face a variety of trials.

Sophia also gets to use the so-called “Minoan sphere” in order to solve puzzles involving light, while there’s also a time-travel element to the game as players will get to visit ancient Minoan times, presumably playing as another character whose fate is linked to Sophia’s… All in all, this looks like it could be another stellar entry in the A Plague Tale universe, and a game to look forward to in the second half of 2026 no doubt.

Release date: August 27, 2026. Available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Also on Game Pass.
