5. Marvel’s Wolverine

The people at Insomniac Games sure know hot to make a superhero game. Their earlier Marver’s Spider-Man game is one of the best ever made, rivalling the Batman Arkham games. So expectations are sky high for their upcoming game Marvel’s Wolverine, even if this game will be different to its predecessor in one key way.

This is because while Spider-Man was an open-world game taking place in New York, this will be a linear adventure set in Canada, Japan and other locations. There won’t be any side activities or missions to interrupt the main story, which is delivered via some impressive cinematics as seen in the trailer below. You can also choose between direct confrontation or stealth in the game’s combat sequences, using abilities like his “tornado spin”. The game’s story involves mutants and superhero Wolverine’s quest to protect them in a hostile world… This also features other Marvel characters like Jean Grey (pictured above), and could be one of the year’s hottest games no doubt.

Release date: September 15, 2026. Available on PS5.
