4. Great characters

In the Witcher 2 the “Wild Hunt” is briefly mentioned in the game’s introduction but not explained thereafter, leaving many gamers curious about it. But since the witcher Geralt is a monster hunter by trade, maybe it involves hunting all sorts of deadly enemies such as the griffin shown at E3?

But if one thing is clear is that Geralt will be accompanied by a great supporting cast of characters. The redhead sorceress Triss makes a welcome return, and Geralt’s lover Yennefer is a skilful sorceress and a woman of beauty. But perhaps the most noteworthy character in The Witcher 3 is Ciri. She features in one of the game’s trailers (below) and will be the series’ first playable female character. And given that the series has been accused of sexism in the past, it is great that women play a more significant role in the story and are not just objects of desire for the witcher Geralt…
