2. The Story
When it comes to its story, Dishonored features your standard tale of betrayal and revenge. It is utterly predictable as well: you can see the major plot twists coming a mile away in Corvo’s quest to avenge the empress’ murder. Still, the story is obviously well written and keeps you glued to the screen.
Thief’s story, on the other hand, is more like a Dan Brown novel. The writing might not be the best but there is a sense of mystery to the whole affair that keeps you playing. Also, the paranormal elements in Garret’s quest to find his missing protégé Erin add to the intrigue. So it is the mystery factor that makes Thief’s story as good as Dishonored’s.
