Mortal Kombat 11 video showcases the Terminator’s brutal moves

Mortal Kombat 11 came out to great acclaim earlier this year – it sure was another fine entry in the franchise as we pointed out in our review. This was due to the game’s great story mode, bloody action, and addictive gameplay, making it one of the best Mortal Kombat games to date no doubt.

And as is usual with the series, this also had a great roster of characters to play with, including classic warriors like Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade and Sub-Zero.

Thankfully those wanting to have more characters to play with will be happy to know that Warner Bros. is expanding the game’s roster this year, adding yet more fighters to Mortal Kombat 11.

These DLC characters will be released as part of the “Kombat Pack” which is available to purchase for the game, but will also be able to purchase standalone. Mortal Kombat classic character Shang Tsung (who’s likeness in Mortal Kombat 11 is based on actor Cary Tagawa, who played the role in the movie) and Nightwolf are already available.

Meanwhile, the Terminator is coming to the game on October 15, although he’s already available to owners of the Kombat Pack.

Warner Bros. has released a video showcasing the Terminator’s brutal moves (see below), although he doesn’t actually say Arnie’s trademark phrase “I’ll be back” in the game, rather Terminator utters the menacing “You won’t be back” in one of his in-game intros. Here he is seen slicing and dicing Mortal Kombat stalwart Jax in a match.

Terminator’s brutal combat moves include using his Uzi firearm to fire at his hapless adversary, while the Terminator can also use his shotgun to fire at his opponent during combat. Of course, the T-800 can resort to a variety of punches and kicks throughout the match like other Mortal Kombat characters can – and even step on his opponent’s crotch in what surely is one painful-looking move.

Plus, one of his in-game fatalities is particularly bloody, and also directly references James Cameron’s Terminator 2 movie, one of many references to the 90’s classic as reported on Eurogamer.

Aside from the Terminator, another DLC character will be joining Mortal Kombat’s roster in what remains of the year. This is Sindel, which is coming to the game in late November, while the Joker (who also appeared in Warner Bros. fighting game Injustice 2) and Spawn will be releasing next year, meaning Mortal Kombat 11 owners have plenty to look forward in the months to come for sure.
