Devil May Cry fans have been hopeful for the next instalment of the series since 2013’s DmC: Devil May Cry proved divisive amongst fans. It looks, though, as Capcom could be delivering a game that will please series’ fans this time, judging by the Tokyo Game Show trailer below.

Actually, Devil May Cry 5 will not only feature cutting-edge graphics, but also offer the series’ trademark hack and slash action too. Like earlier games in the series, players take control of main character Dante (although old favourite Nero is also playable) while Capcom is also introducing a new character named “V” this time around, details of which are scant at this point.

This may be the perfect gift for anyone who fancies slaughtering demons and chaining spectacular combos in a surreal world, so hopefully Capcom won’t disappoint and deliver a good Devil May Cry game next year.

Release date: March 8, 2019. Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
