2. A detachable disc drive

Sony originally shipped two versions of the PS5 back in November 2020: a discless, digital-only version, and a PS5 with a disc drive. This is an Ultra HD Blu-ray drive, letting you watch the latest movies in this format, and of course run disc-based PS5 games. The thing is, people who bought the digital edition of the console back then where stuck with a disc-less console, but that is not the case now.

Actually, the new digital PS5 can be upgraded with a disc drive, which Sony will be selling separately. Meanwhile, the disc drive in the disc version of the console is detachable too. Also, adding the disc drive to the digital edition of the PS5 (or removing it from the disc version) seems like a simple DIY job judging by the image above (via blog.playstation.com).
