Many top games have already been released this year, such as Resident Evil Requiem. But many are still slated to launch in what remains of 2026, including survival horror sequel The Sinking City 2 and the great-looking Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. Here follows a list of 10 hot video games coming in the second half of 2026.
1. The Sinking City 2
This game by Ukrainian studio Frogwares is high on many gamers’ wishlists for this year, and it’s not hard to see why. A playable demo released earlier this year showed this could be a compelling survival horror game. In the game, protagonist Calvin Rafferty has the idea of summoning “an Eldritch god” together with his girlfriend… Suffice to say, things don’t go well, and his partner Faye ends up in a coma.
Set in the city of Arkham, which is slowly flooding, Calvin has to deal with Eldritch monsters inspired by the novels of author H.P. Lovecraft, solve puzzles and get to places like the city’s hotel in order to help revive Faye, in a game that leans towards survival horror rather than playing detective as was the case in the first Sinking City game. Developer Frogwares has spoken of the difficulties of making the game in war-torn Ukraine, but judging by the trailer below this looks like it could be a fantastic survival horror game when it ships this summer, no doubt.
Release date: August 18, 2026. Available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
