3. Final Fantasy X
Even if most Final Fantasy games prior to X had been superb, one thing that perhaps many players missed was hearing the game’s characters talk instead of reading onscreen text. But thankfully this game answered fans’ prayers being the first fully-voiced one of the series, with characters like cocky protagonist Tidus and supporting cast members like Rikku being voiced to perfection.
The colourful world of Spira was a joy to explore too, and players could also enjoy side activities like playing Blitzball (an underwater sport) and riding Chocobos in the game’s fantasy world. Also, one major gameplay tweak was that players could swap party members during combat, making it easier to develop their skills. A new-gen remastered edition of the game was released in 2014, surely making this classy Final Fantasy game a good entry point for those new to the series.
