Call of Duty is probably the biggest video game franchise on Earth, and millions of gamers each year take to Activision’s series, a company which is now owned by Microsoft. And the latest instalment of the series, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (the first to land on the Game Pass service) has attracted millions of players, and the multiplayer side of it has caused plenty of controversy.

Aside from thousands of players being banned from playing, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s has one controversial feature: the “Body Shield”. This lets you grab another player during combat and use him or her as a meat shield to protect you from enemy fire. More controversially, voice chat is enabled between the victim and attacker, something which could potentially lead to unheard levels of toxicity as has been pointed out by some. Either way, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 seems to have turned into a wild success regardless of this controversy.
