9. Watch Dogs 2
Some people raised eyebrows when Ubisoft announced that a sequel to their 2014 Watch Dogs game was in the works, and that it would be released this November. After all, the original Watch Dogs wasn’t so loved despite being one of the best GTA clones released to date, mainly due to its boring protagonist Aidan Pierce, weak story and half-baked hacking mechanics.
Although judging by previews, it is clear that the sequel will likely improve on the original in every single way, featuring improved gameplay, a more likeable protagonist and a great San Francisco setting. In the game, players take control of hacker Marcus Holloway, and he is able to put his skills to use working for Dedsec, an organization aiming to overthrow the corrupt political establishment. The game will feature more hacking options and players will even be able to control drones and play stealthily without killing enemies, in what is looking to be one of the best video game releases of this year.
Release date: November 15, 2016. Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
