Final Fantasy is the best-known Japanese role-playing video game series in the world, and has been running strong since the first game debuted way back in 1987, and this year’s Final Fantasy XV looks set to deliver a great gameplay experience too.

For starters, it will be the first game of the franchise to offer open-world gameplay, with protagonist Noctis and his pals being able to traverse the game’s big open world on car or riding the series’ cute Chocobo birds. The game will also feature the usual party-based combat with weapons and magic, plus Final Fantasy XV will have a colourful cast of characters like the car mechanic Cindy and new villainess Aranea Highwind. And hopefully this Final Fantasy game won’t disappoint fans this year and deliver a great gameplay experience when it launches this September.

Release date: September 30, 2016. Available on PS4 and Xbox One.
