5. Life is Strange: Double Exposure

Fans of the Life is Strange series have been waiting for years for another entry in the series to hit the shelves, and thankfully their prayers have been answered as another Life is Strange game is coming this fall. Better still, the upcoming Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back the iconic protagonist of the first game, Max Caulfield, who will once again be using her time-travelling powers to unravel a mystery after her friend Safi is murdered.

Moving between two timelines, one in which Safi is alive and another in which he’s not, she must find out who the killer is in order to prevent her friend’s death. It remains to be seen, though, whether this next Life is Strange game will be as compelling as the 2015 original, which was made by French outfit DontNod Entertainment. Double Exposure is being made by Deck Nine, the people behind 2017’s Life is Strange: Before the Storm, which was a prequel to the original game. Here’s hoping, nonetheless, that they can deliver a Life is Strange game that both fans and newcomers can enjoy this fall.

Release date: October 29, 2024. Available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Also on Nintendo Switch.
