11 cancelled video games no one will ever play

3. Prince of Persia Redemption

The Prince of Persia series has been pretty popular in the past, but we haven’t seen a new game in the franchise for a while now. Actually, not since a mobile game in 2013 has the Prince jumped on roofs or beheaded enemy soldiers…

Before that, there was Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, the last major (and slightly disappointing) entry in the series, released in the same year as the movie (which flopped despite being quite good). This may have convinced Ubisoft to focus on its successful Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry series instead…

The thing is Ubisoft was also working on another game in the Prince of Persia series in 2010. Prince of Persia Redemption would have offered more of the series’ trademark third-person action and parkour in the Middle East, as seen in the video below. Redemption also seems to be inspired by other big action and adventure game series such as God of War, and might have been a cracker had Ubisoft not decided to pull the plug back in the day.
