10. Resident Evil Code: Veronica X
Although there’s the earlier Resident 3: Nemesis game, many fans of the series regard Resident Evil Code: Veronica as the true sequel to the great Resident Evil 2, and a better game to boot. And this updated edition of the game improved the game’s graphics while adding new cutscenes that made sitting through the cheesy story more bearable.
This Resident Evil game was also noteworthy due to the fact that it was the first to feature true 3D graphics instead of the pretty rendered backgrounds of the earlier games, meaning the camera wasn’t as dismal as in other instalments of the series. Although the gameplay still suffered due to the antiquated controls which wouldn’t let you move and shoot at the same time. But still, Code: Veronica X and its later HD update are surely decent entries in the hugely popular franchise, no doubt.
