2. Resident Evil 5
Much like its illustrious predecessor, Resident Evil 5 was a more action-oriented game than a survival horror romp. But this was still great fun to play all the same, though. Plus the game also featured a new African setting, which no doubt was cool. Resident Evil 5 also had the typical clichéd zombie plot, in which protagonist Chris Redfield and his partner Sheva Alomar are attempting to block a black market bioweapons deal. But as you would expect, things go haywire and the duo end up having to fight for their lives against a horde of zombies…
Resident Evil 5’s graphics and cinematics sure were eye-catching for the time too, even if some have accused the game of having racist undertones. Plus featuring the same dated movement and shooting mechanic as the earlier Resident Evil 4 did this game no favours either. This is a classy instalment of the series though, and still a ton of fun for fans of the long-running franchise no doubt.
