8. Baldur’s Gate 2 (2000)
This old school RPG was created by Bioware. Like other PC roleplaying games of the time, this game is notoriously difficult, right from the start. Its tutorial dungeon was not an easy ride at all, featuring some quite difficult battles. Picking the right characters and using their abilities wisely was essential to success. Luckily, crazy warrior Minsc (a fan favourite) could join your party and help you kick butt, because later battles could be insanely difficult. Fighting beholders, dragons and liches was bloody challenging, and the less is said of the level-draining vampires the better…
Fighting the demi-lich Kangaxx. Liches are powerful undead enemies, but Kangaxx was quite the beast. This baddie from Baldur’s Gate 2 was highly resistant to magic and weapons, and his health would regenerate very fast. Not only that, but he could cast the infamous “imprisonment” spell, which could put your party members out of business – forever.
