This upcoming third-person action game by French video game company Ubisoft is certainly one of the hottest games of 2016, and is set in New York after a deadly virus outbreak. Players form part of a unit of agents known as The Division, who are trying to put order in the beleaguered city in a campaign that emphasizes survival and features role-playing elements, and which can be played solo or cooperatively with others online.

Although unlike Bungie’s sci-fi shooter Destiny, players won’t be obliged to form teams to get past the toughest bits of the campaign, according to Ubisoft. But the game does have a full player vs player mode known as The Dark Zone, a special area of the game’s accurately recreated New York City, in which players will be able to find some of the game’s best gear, and “go rogue” and turn on each other… And with multiplayer frills like these, it looks like The Division could turn out to be one of the year’s top titles when it hit shelves this March.

Release date: March 8, 2016. Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
