Electronic Arts is releasing EA Sports FC 24 this year, the successor to FIFA 23 which no longer bears the FIFA name. But the fact that EA has ditched the FIFA license doesn’t mean that this won’t be a competitive sports as last year’s entry was, with the company having reached deals with the world’s top players, clubs and leagues in order to feature these in the game. From England’s Premier League to Italy’s Serie A, the world’s major leagues will be included in FC 24 and so will top players like Erling Haaland of Manchester City and female football star Sam Kerr. Yes, as with last year’s entry, women’s leagues and competitions will also be a part of the game.

The gameplay video below also showcases EA’s Hypermotion technology which should deliver even more realistic player movements on the pitch, and the new Playstyles feature means the player’s signature abilities will be seen onscreen for extra authenticity too… Plus, new additions to career mode mean that this could be on hell of a sports game this year, and a worthy successor to the FIFA legacy.

Release date: September 29, 2023. Available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
