Top 10 video games coming in the second half of 2023

Although some top-notch games like Resident Evil 4 and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have already been released in 2023, there’s still much more in store for gamers this year. From Bethesda’s space epic Starfield to a new Avatar game, there could still be plenty of fun to be had playing video games in what remains of 2023. So without further ado, here follows a list of the top 10 video games coming in the second half of the year.

1. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Avatar and its sequel are two of the biggest blockbusters ever made, but this upcoming video game by Ubisoft is not directly based on last year’s megahit Avatar: Way of the Water. Instead, this game stars a female Na’vi who’s taken prisoner by the evil RDA corporation, in order to make her fight for their cause. She later returns to the world of Pandora to fight the RDA, her training in human weapons being something of an advantage in combat. Also, players get to wield the weapons of the Na’vi as seen in the trailer below.

This will be an action and adventure game played in first person, set in the Western Frontier (a continent of Pandora) and definitely looks like it will be a better affair than Ubisoft’s earlier 2009 Avatar game when it hits shelves later in 2023.

Release date: December 7, 2023. Available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Amazon Luna.
