We’ve already seen our share of great games in 2017, including the likes of Horizon: Zero Dawn and Prey. There’s still more to come in what remains of 2017, though, including remasters of old favourites like Final Fantasy XII and another Minecraft adventure, amongst others. So without further ado, here follows a list of the top 10 video games to be released this summer holiday 2017.
1. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
If one thing is clear, is that Final Fantasy XII is one of the best role-playing games ever made. It did not quite reach the heights of Final Fantasy IX, but was still a solid role-playing adventure that you could spend hundreds of hours with.
The original PS2 game is looking a bit long in the tooth these days though, so those looking to replay the 2006 classic will be happy to know that Square Enix is putting out a remaster this summer. This not only improves the game’s visuals but also introduces a series of gameplay tweaks and the “job system” seen in the Japanese version of the game. This lets you customize your party in the game to a greater degree than before, meaning Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age could very well be the best way to kill time this summer holiday.
Release date: July 11. Available on PS4.
