2. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
It has been revealed that in The Witcher 3, protagonist Geralt will have to go to a barber every few days, as the game will feature “real-time beard growth” according to PC Gamer magazine. If anything, this tells us how insanely detailed this game will be and how developer CD Projekt Red is pulling all the stops to make The Witcher 3 the best RPG in years.
Take the game’s world size for instance. It is rumoured to be 35 times larger than that of its predecessor The Witcher 2. The game will feature two huge cities (named Novigrad and Oxenfurt) and 25 smaller towns, plus many other areas such as forests and islands, where a professional monster hunter like Geralt will have to deal with fearsome enemies such as griffons.
And regarding the game’s characters, the most noteworthy thing is that there will be a playable female character named Ciri (seen in the impressive trailer below). She can hold her own in a fight and is not just a damsel in distress, which is a refreshing change from past games in the series.
Release date: May 19, 2015. Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is rated ‘M’ for Mature in the U.S. and PEGI-18 in the United Kingdom.
